Mesotherapy is an aesthetic-medical and dermatological technique that involves injecting small amounts of active ingredients directly into the middle layer of the skin (the mesoderm). Developed in France in the mid-20th century, it is used today for facial rejuvenation, the treatment of hair loss, skin biorevitalisation and other dermo-aesthetic indications.
The principle is simple: instead of applying active ingredients to the surface of the skin (topical skincare) or taking them systemically, they are injected directly into the site where they need to act, at the depth of the dermis. The injections are performed with very fine needles or with automatic multi-injection devices (mesopen). The sensation is one of quick micro-punctures, generally well tolerated.
The injected 'cocktail' is personalised to the patient's specific needs: it may contain non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid for deep hydration, vitamins (in particular vitamin C and the B group), minerals, amino acids and biomimetic peptides.
At Centro Eudermia in Cagliari, we have offered personalised mesotherapy protocols for many years, as part of broader dermatological and aesthetic care plans.
The Main Indications
Areas and application protocols of mesotherapy
Facial Biorevitalisation
One of our most popular treatments. The result is more hydrated, radiant skin with improved texture and tone. Unlike a filler with cross-linked hyaluronic acid, mesotherapy biorevitalisation does not change facial volumes but works on the quality of the skin.
Mesotherapy for Hair
Used to treat hair loss, particularly androgenetic alopecia and telogen effluvium. Typical cocktails contain vitamins, minerals, amino acids essential for keratin and specific peptides to stimulate the follicle.
Personalised Protocol
An initial course of 3-4 sessions for the face spaced 2-4 weeks apart, or 4-6 sessions for hair (one every 2-3 weeks). Maintenance sessions then follow every 2-3 months. The plan is reviewed periodically based on the results observed.
Integration with Other Treatments
Mesotherapy integrates effectively into broader treatment plans: alongside acne treatment, the management of alopecia with VIDIX monitoring, and facial rejuvenation plans using laser and filler.

Mesotherapy for Localised Fat Deposits
In addition to facial/biorevitalising mesotherapy, Centro Eudermia also performs mesotherapy with specific active ingredients for the treatment of localised fat deposits (abdomen, flanks, thighs). These are targeted micro-injections designed to stimulate local metabolism and counter stubborn fat deposits, to be combined with a balanced lifestyle.
