Centro Eudermia is a private dermatology clinic in Cagliari founded by Dr. Alessandra Guicciardi. The clinic draws on a team of specialist dermatologists to guarantee a personalised care pathway and continuity of care.
The origin of the name
Eudermia, from the Greek eu-derma: beautiful skin.
The name "Eudermia" comes from ancient Greek εὔδερμος (eu-dermos), formed from εὖ ("well", "good") and δέρμα ("skin"). It literally means "with beautiful skin". For the ancient Greeks, beautiful skin was first and foremost healthy skin — there was no distinction between aesthetics and physical wellbeing.
We chose this name because it captures our philosophy. The beauty of the skin is a consequence of its health, not a substitute for it. That is why, for over three decades, we have combined clinical dermatology and aesthetic medicine with the same scientific rigour.
We are not an aesthetic centre that also does dermatology. We are specialist dermatologists who also practise aesthetic medicine. The difference is fundamental: every aesthetic treatment starts from an accurate clinical diagnosis, never the other way around.
Our story
A story that begins in 1986.
When Dr. Alessandra Guicciardi opened her practice in Cagliari, in 1986, aesthetic medicine in Italy was still in its early days. It was a new, controversial discipline, practised by only a few visionary doctors.
Dr. Alessandra was one of the first specialists in Sardinia to recognise its potential and to integrate it into her dermatological practice. While most of her colleagues regarded aesthetics as a secondary activity, she understood that it was the natural complement to skin care.
More than three decades have passed since then. Thousands of patients have been treated at Centro Eudermia, from the most complex clinical dermatology to the most delicate rejuvenation treatments. Treatments, technologies and indications have changed — but the same philosophy has remained: skin before aesthetics, health before beauty.
Today Centro Eudermia is a trusted name in Sardinian dermatology, with a team of dedicated specialists and a loyal clientele that often spans several generations of the same family.

Dr. Federica Guicciardi
Trichologist Dermatologist
Specialist in Dermatology and Venereology (University of Sassari, 2018) and a second-level Master's in Hair and Scalp Diseases at the University of Bologna (under Prof. Bianca Maria Piraccini, 2021). She has collaborated with Centro Eudermia since 2011 and is Medical Director of the HB Medical Centre in Quartu Sant'Elena; previously a specialist at the Humanitas Group (2018-2020).
Author of 8 scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals (J Am Acad Dermatol, J Eur Acad Dermatol Venereol, Int J Trichology), she is a member of SIDeMaST, EADV, IDS and SILD.
She specialises in trichology, oncological dermatology and videodermatoscopy, paediatric dermatology, cutaneous allergology, venereology and aesthetic medicine.

The Clinic Staff
In addition to the doctors, the clinic is supported by dedicated staff for reception, appointment management and assistance during outpatient procedures. The staff are trained to ensure a calm and professional experience from the first contact through to the post-visit follow-up.
The direct relationship with the dermatologists is one of the hallmarks of the clinic: no external call centres, no endless waiting lists. Appointment requests and patient questions are handled personally, including via WhatsApp, and we reply quickly.
