    Possible approaches to wrinkle treatment

There is no single treatment that works for everyone. Based on the type of wrinkle, its depth, your facial movement and your skin characteristics, the most suitable approach is chosen — often a combination of the following.

    The Concerns We Treat

    Wrinkles and Expression Lines

Fine wrinkles around the eyes (crow's feet), expression lines on the forehead and around the lips, deep nasolabial folds and a general loss of elasticity are the most common signs of skin ageing. Each calls for a different approach: fractional laser for collagen stimulation, botulinum toxin for expression lines, fillers to plump and restore lost volume.

    Blemishes and Pigmentation

Sunspots (lentigines), melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and age-related pigmentation respond well to fractional laser, photodynamic therapy and personalised chemical peels.

    Scars and Uneven Texture

Acne scars, post-traumatic scars, enlarged pores and rough skin texture can be significantly improved with the fractional CO2 laser and microneedling, in single or combined protocols.

    Photoageing

Damage caused by chronic sun exposure — solar elastosis, visible superficial capillaries, actinic keratoses, loss of radiance — is among the main indications for the rejuvenation treatments at Centro Eudermia.

    Our Advanced Technologies

    Fractional CO2 Laser

The fractional laser is one of the most effective technologies for skin rejuvenation. It creates microscopic columns of thermal energy that stimulate the production of new collagen, leaving the surrounding tissue intact to promote rapid healing. It is particularly indicated for scars, photoageing, fine wrinkles and uneven skin texture.

    Microneedling with e-Dermastamp

Microneedling — or aesthetic needling — is a minimally invasive procedure that uses micro-needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, activating the natural processes of regeneration and the synthesis of collagen and elastin. At Centro Eudermia we use electric devices with oscillating needles that allow precise control of the depth and customisation of the treatment.

How microneedling works: mechanically activating the fibroblasts triggers the production of new type I and type III collagen, the reorganisation of the elastic fibres and the thickening of the dermis. The temporary microchannels created by the needles also allow better penetration of active ingredients (vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, growth factors, biomimetic peptides) applied immediately after the session.

Indications for microneedling: fine wrinkles, loss of tone, uneven texture, enlarged pores, atrophic acne scars, stretch marks, melasma and hyperpigmentation, and uneven complexion.

Needle depth: 0.5-1.5 mm for the face, 1.0-2.0 mm for the neck and décolleté, 1.5-2.5 mm for the body (stretch marks). The choice depends on the area treated and the therapeutic goal.

What to expect: the procedure involves cleansing, application of a topical anaesthetic for 30-45 minutes, the needling itself, application of targeted serums and a final protective layer. In the following 24-48 hours, erythema, mild swelling and a sensation of skin tightness are normal. The immediate results include a "glow" effect and smoother skin; improvements begin to show after 4-6 weeks; the dermal thickening that improves enlarged pores and skin texture continues for at least 3-6 months.

Typical protocol: the protocol varies depending on the condition to be treated. Generally no more than 3 sessions per year are sufficient, with optional maintenance sessions every 6 months when treating skin ageing.

Absolute contraindications: active skin infections, malignant or suspicious lesions, coagulation disorders, pregnancy and breastfeeding, anticoagulant therapies.

    Botulinum Toxin for Dynamic Wrinkles

Botulinum toxin is the most effective solution for the expression lines of the upper third of the face: forehead wrinkles, glabella (vertical lines between the eyebrows), crow's feet. It works by reducing the activity of the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles, with an effect that begins after 3-5 days, reaches its peak after 1 week and lasts on average 4-6 months. Our approach aims for a natural result that preserves the expressiveness of the face, avoiding the "frozen" look.

    Hyaluronic Acid Filler

Hyaluronic acid fillers make it possible to fill deep wrinkles and restore facial volume lost with age. They are indicated for nasolabial folds, cheekbones, lips, jawline contour, under-eye hollows. The results are immediate, last on average 7-12 months and — a fundamental characteristic — hyaluronic acid fillers are absorbable, breaking down naturally over time.

    Photodynamic Therapy

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is used in rejuvenation for the treatment of photoageing, actinic keratoses and skin texture. It complements the treatments described above.

    Procedure

How the botox treatment is performed

Botulinum toxin injections are performed with fine needles at strategic points within the areas being treated. The procedure is quick and well tolerated, carried out on an outpatient basis.

    • Precise injections into the areas of facial expression
    • Gradual results, complete after 14 days

    Your Rejuvenation Journey

    Step 1: Complete Clinical Assessment

The in-depth analysis of the skin concerns, the assessment of the skin phototype and general conditions, the identification of realistic goals and the choice of the most appropriate technology are the first step. We plan a treatment journey that often integrates several modalities to maximise the results.

    Step 2: Personalised Treatment

Specific skin preparation, application of topical anaesthetics when necessary, performing the treatment with the selected technology, monitoring during the procedure, and detailed post-treatment instructions.

    Step 3: Follow-up

Check-up at 7-14 days from the first treatment, assessment of results, photographic documentation of the progression, any adjustments to the protocol, planning of the subsequent sessions.

    Step 4: Maintenance

Scheduled maintenance sessions, personalised at-home skincare, constant sun protection, continuous optimisation of results.

    Timing of the Results

Progress is visible from the very first sessions, with different timings depending on the treatment:

    • Immediately: tightening effect and radiance (microneedling, chemical peel)
    • 1-2 weeks: initial improvement of the texture
    • 1 month: visible reduction of blemishes and fine wrinkles
    • 2-3 months: maximum collagen stimulation, more evident results
    • 6 months: final, stabilised results

The duration of the results varies: fractional laser 2-5 years with maintenance; botulinum toxin 4-6 months (repeatable); hyaluronic acid fillers 7-12 months; microneedling 12-18 months. Combinations offer overall longer-lasting results.

    Preparation and Aftercare

    Before the Treatment

Suspend sun exposure 2-4 weeks beforehand, avoid self-tanners and UV lamps, maintain good skin hydration, suspend acid-based creams one week before (if indicated), inform the doctor of any medications and supplements in use.

    After the Treatment

Mild redness (2-7 days), sensation of warmth (first 24 hours), micro-flaking (3-10 days depending on the treatment), formation of new skin (2-4 weeks), progressive improvement over the following months.

    Home Care

Gentle cleansing with specific cleansers, intensive hydration, mandatory SPF 50+ sun protection, avoiding manipulation of any crusts, scrupulous adherence to the post-treatment instructions.

    What to Avoid

Direct sun exposure for 4-6 weeks, saunas and steam baths for 2 weeks, home scrubs and peels for 1 month, heavy coverage makeup in the first few days, intense physical activity for 48-72 hours.
